Isabel Mazzolini is a cinematographer whose work moves between narrative, documentary-leaning, and music-driven visuals, always guided by mood, texture, and emotional connection. Her approach is collaborative and story-first, crafting visuals that feel grounded, honest, and rooted in performance.
Her recent credits include cinematography on Sydney Gawlik’s Too Bright to Be Dark — Planet Health Stories | Episode 1, which was featured by National Geographic; and F*ck Feelings (dir. Samantha K. Tan), which premiered at the LA Shorts International Film Festival, an Academy Award and BAFTA-qualifying festival in Los Angeles. She also shot the narrative 10 Year (dir. Dana Melanie), which screened at the Mammoth Film Festival.
Isabel has worked as Second Unit Director of Photography on Before Hip Hop (Ice Cube), contributing to performance-centric and archival-driven sequence work. In the music-performance space, she served as cinematographer for Season 2, Episode 10 of Norah Jones’ live session podcast, featuring a collaboration with Norah Jones and John Legend, bringing a cinematic eye to the audio-visual experience. She was also DP on the music video for “Wild Ones” by Jessie Murph & Jelly Roll, and on Scooty with Peter France for Corridor Digital.
She’s currently in pre-production on Pilotos de Papel (dir. Fiorella Vescovi), developed through the LFI & Netflix Inclusion Fellowship and set to shoot in Uruguay in 2026.
